RENEE LOPEZ

Renee is an Alabama native who has always enjoyed maintaining an active lifestyle. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition/Dietetics from Auburn University in 2012 and completed her dietetic internship through the Georgia Dept. of Public Health in 2015. She has experience practicing as a Registered Dietitian in long term care, community/public health nutrition, outpatient nutrition education, and clinical nutrition. Renee has 2 years of management experience in public health as well.

Renee is most excited to offer nutrition services at SCD because she wants to help people understand that nutrition does not have to be complicated, expensive, or trendy. She wants people to enjoy foods that they love and share with others that there are no "good" or "bad" foods.

John is a Chattanooga, Tennessee native whose interest in fitness and nutrition began at a very early age, thanks to Arnold. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition/Dietetics from the University of Tennessee Chattanooga in 2014 and completed his dietetic internship at The Georgia Department of Public Health in 2017. John has experience working as a Registered Dietitian for public health, long term acute care hospital, skilled nursing facilities, and currently works with kidney disease patients.

John is most excited to offer nutrition services at Scenic City Dietetics because he wants to help motivate others to achieve their nutrition goals and any personal goals they may also have.

A few facts about John: He is a huge Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan, he adores his 3 dogs, and he loves to go on hikes.

Dietitian Duo
John and Renee met during their time working for the Georgia Dept. of Public Health. They married in March 2019 and have been excited to build a nutrition counseling service together ever since. They are very passionate about all aspects of nutrition, but both of them have a specific passion for nutrition in relation to fitness and athletics. John and Renee are excited to work together as a team of dietitians to offer individualized nutrition counseling and education services to you. They can't wait to meet you!
